Bring on the holidays!
Dec. 23rd, 2017 03:31 pmThank you for the cards and twill tape,
theladyrebecca and
nuranar! I'm going to put that to good use in very short order <3
I finally got into the holiday spirit on about oh, Thursday. A few people gave me treats and cards at work (cookies, cupcakes, and butter tarts yessss my teeth hurt already) and I'm so excited to take the week off. I mean, I would have had 2 days off anyway, and then the office is closed so I had time to cover those days, and i'm off until January 2! I very much plan to get my fabric stash squared away, and I looked through photos of some of it to decide what to make the split rump with. It's between two florals that I have a couple of meters of each. I think I will turn the Williamsburg fabric into another Italian gown. I've got some shot polys that will make OK petticoats to match both gowns. Ah I'm so full of energy!
I was going to go visit my gramma today, but of COURSE after something like 6 weeks it finally decides to snow again, and it was SUPER windy. The snow would melt enough to refreeze on the roads, making them slippery, and then wind was strong enough to push me around. I was wobbling in my lane a LOT, and I was also doing 30km/hr under the limit. My brother and I decided to bail and head back to the city. We'll go see Gramma this week, but not today.
Tomorrow is my last shift for gift wrapping, and then I'm going to see The Last Jedi again. Turkey dinner on Tuesday. Ahhhh it's gonna be great. Sewing and knitting, here I come!
