I spent a big chunk of yesterday trawling museums for extant cotton dresses to get an idea of what were common elements. I downloaded a fashion croquis (the least fashion-posed one i couls find) and printed out the torso to trace and then sketch different bodices on. I sketched out differwnt sleeves. I started reading the Workwoman's Guide even tjough it cant possibly comment on gown fashions but heres some starting points.

Anxiety is easier to manage when i can channel it into preparing lol. (but its still terrible. Why can't we get there without all the whining and hand-wringing first? Its a mystery)

Im not sure i need a collar or not, and i will def need an apron since this is planned for my only workshop day. Hopefully a ridiculous cap too so i dont have to put too much effort into my hair XD

I started making a list of to-dos and it quickly became overwhelming. But i gotta keep at it! Its 6 or 7 weeks away!
