It's been a rollercoaster of anxiety over here. I've done almost no sewing, which was OK, really. I've been spending a lot of time writing a fanfic (currently just shy of 15k) and reading about sewing lol.
Over the Easter weekend, my roommate and I discussed moving my bookshelves into the house, finally, after they've been patiently waiting since July for me to make a decision about which wall they were going to be put up on. We did not get them into the house, but I did spend a couple hours going through the remaining boxes and sorting some stuff. I threw out a bit, recycled some more, made up a couple boxes of stuff to be donated. Once the shelves are in, I can finish unpacking what's left.
I was super sad to open a box that sat in rainwater over several occasions last summer, as the parking pad "humps" by the door and water ran in. I knew what was in it, but I had forgotten some of the specifics. Like a manga series that is SO GOOD but is out of print and so replacing the volumes will be extremely difficult. At least that was just rainwater and not asbestos-filled decades-of-cigarette-smoke water.
Our new roommate moved in, my current roomie's best friend of 20-ish years. So far so good.
Sunday night my gaming group got together again after a short break. We're going to play some Star Trek Adventures while the DM builds the next part of our D&D story. It was SO MUCH FUN to go back to my roots, so to speak, as a Trek nerd. Looking forward to the next session where we get to work on our starship.
