The ongoing saga of pants

OH LOOK THE CURVY SEWING PATTERN PLACE HAS A TROUSER PATTERN OUT THIS WEEK SPEFICIALLY FOR PEOPLE WITH ASSES AND BELLIES. Obviously I'm going to get it. This should finish out my pants pattern collection though, I couldn't possibly require any other patterns after this!

(Famous last words? We'll see.)

I have:

Pants with an elasticated back (wide or tapered leg, full length or cropped, high waist, pockets)
Ultra basic pants (fitted leg, waist facing, side zip)
Ultra basic trousers (waistband, front fly, pockets, narrow legs)
Pleated trousers (wide or tapered leg, high waist, waistband, front fly, pockets)

And this new one would include a drafted-for-curves, includes a full bum pattern piece already made, and a straight leg. Yes please, get in my cart.

I see you’ve listed some of your patterns as “pants” and some as “trousers.” Is there a distinction between the two, or were you just trying to vary your word choice?

I hope the new pattern is easy to fit.

The pattern names themselves. Top and bottom are the same Canadian company, the middle two are the same UK company. And I'm in that weird linguistic corner where sometimes I use pants, and sometimes trousers, and I'm trying to get more consistent but failing lol. I'm not even sure what the difference is.

Thanks. I expect Canadian English has a lot of places where US English and UK English influences sit side by side.

And I'm a TOTAL LIAR bc one of the UK patterns is also named "pants"! Someone pick a term and let's stick with it!

Picking a term and sticking with it doesn't sound like the English language. I think the philosophy of English is "You have a word for that? Great! Throw it in the mix. The more the merrier."
