My belly continues to be sore. I looked up "muscle guarding" because that's what it feels like, and in particular for the abdomen, whereupon google quoted me something about abdominal guarding to protect inflamed organs, see a doctor bc its serious!! I know what happened to them lol. Leaning over the bathtub probably didn't help. I can walk a little faster and sitting up all day isn't terrible. Once I get home I can be a little more relaxed.

These past couple nights I've just chilled on the couch, knitted a little. Last night I retrieved the linen for the hemd and started pulling threads while waiting for an event on Instagram to start airing. It's really lovely, but I can't remember if its the B&T or the length I picked up in LA in 2018.

Also measured the bits of loose-weave linen. It's cut to 36" wide, and there's 30" of straight fabric below the former-armscye angle. I should be able to get a very serviceable apron out of that. I am prepared to seam on more fabric if required lol.

Tonight my roomies are going to a movie so I will be delightfully alone. Maybe I will finally be able to start sewing the hemd for real. I have a hot minute to decide if I want to do a fully smocked neck (kinda like ye olde peasant blouse) or do the version like the loose weave with a cut out collar. I guess it depends if I want to do embroidered smocking or honeycomb. Decisions. Right now I have two 36x58" panels, with the sleeves left to cut. I plan to shorten the panels to... 45-50" range, I can cut gussets and bands etc out of that.

Tomorrow is birthday lunch with my sibling, and then games with friends. Sunday must be laundry day, the situation is DIRE. Maybe tonight even!
