I did it! I sewed a thing! Weather hit highs of 87F yesterday (31C) and just... too hot. I so desperately need summer clothes. That motivated me to go to the sewing room.
Thank goodness I bought a copy of that library book, because the pattern I traced from it was too small! It was so tight across my chest, and when I looked at the chart in the book, no wonder. It has a finished measurement of 41.75" and my bust is 42". Took a new set of measurements bc it'd been awhile and... exactly what I thought. 38" upper bust and 42" full. But the pattern draft includes upper bust measurements in ODD sizes, so which do I pick? Do I go up because it's for woven fabric, or down because I'm really rather narrow across the chest there? If I go up, I need a new size. If I go down, I need a new cup. Either way, that front piece has to be recut.
Super excited about the yarn festival. I checked my volunteer schedule yesterday and I was pretty excited about all of it, so I'm not going to change anything. But I know I'm gonna be pooped for the rest of the weekend lol.
