Roomie M and i were discussing last night, we are going to start going through the cupboards in the kitchen and destashing or throwing away things we truly do not need or use. There are so many things in there that we haven't touched in three years, or only touched a handful of times. She said she was only going to need a small amount of cookware bc she'll mostly be cooking for herself and not all that often. The less we have to deal with later will be better for all of us. Then we discussed splitting up our candle cupboard lol

Tomorrow I have an appointment to see an apartment and will likely visit the beanies. Other than that, no firm plans! I do need to start on sorting and packing, wanting to stick to my "deal" of one hour a day (more, if I'm in the zone) of spending time on it.

First task is going to be cleaning up the costume bins/packing costume bins. The stuff wot needs going away needs to be measured and photographed (where possible). The stuff I am keeping needs to be packed. Some of the things I looked at and wondered if i wanted to repurpose them, such as the GoT dress, which is basically 2 rectangles and just so HAPPENS to be the same fabric I was making Edwardian undies out of (now that I've typed it, the answer is yes). Do I want to repurpose my old bustle, which was made out of quilting cotton? (why, self. Why?) Again, mostly rectangles. I already cut the bodice off a petticoat which was a terrible fit from the beginning, it is a polished cotton and it will make a cute modern-ish petticoat. I have a pink linen regency dress that I made over 10 years ago and never worn, I can redo that too.

I will follow that line in a different post, it's gonna need lists and noodles.

I really would like to get a few more things sewn or at least prepared while I have a counter height table to do it on. I traced out one of the new patterns I bought last week so that's high on my list. Currently the table is PILED with the "keep" items. And then I also need to start packing up the sewing room area so that it's ready to go, or at least neater to look at. I have some piles that have just been waiting around for Some Time (tm). I've been ignoring it bc there was no rush to do anything with them, but now... it's past time.
