Boss tossed me out the door early on Friday, so I had a glorious nap once I got home.
Saturday I stitched a bunch of hems, each requiring different colours of thread, but here we are. I was going to start the Honeybourne dress but decided I should wash my most-likely-poly fabric first, and besides that I don't have a zipper for it (i have like six zippers, two white, three black, two of which are separating, and a blue one for a particular project that's been nebulous for the past 10+ years). After, I sat down on the couch to play video games, and fell asleep for another two hours while my roommates had to go look at a unit in the building they applied for. They came by after and we went to Home Deopt to get those filters and boxes, and they picked up paint cards because they were told they could paint.
(Yes, I am having a lot of feelings about this. No I am not going to wail about it today. But the phrase "I have fewer options because I won't have a roommate except the cats" was uttered, because I 98% won't have a dishwasher lol)
Yesterday I decided to have a pattern tracing party and spent nearly 4 hours (!!!) projecting patterns onto the wall and tracing them off. It was kind of great because I could finagle the pieces for several patterns onto one piece of paper, even if the spaces left weren't ideal for other pieces from the first one. Then I decided to have a pattern cutting party which took about the length of one movie to cut out. PHEW that was work.
I am feeling it today. I was standing on bare concrete with comfy shoes and walking back and forth and pressing against the wall and crouching a whole lot. Whoops?
I plan to do some FBAs to a couple of the patterns today, might get around to cutting them out even. I think the boxes are still in Roomie J's vehicle so that will make packing them difficult, but i could go through some of the other books in my room that I know I won't take/read and can't donate bc of the flood damage and just pitch them. That would be a good start.
