Moving countdown begins

This is gonna be my life for the next couple weeks, so posting will not be very interesting lol.

I listed my big couch for sale and hopefully will connect with someone today to get it out of the house. Yesterday, no packing happened, but Roomie M and I got all of our sensitive papers out and shredded them, which was fun.

The Bloody Revolution has begun which makes me even LESS likely to want to pack when all I want to do is curl up on the couch and all I CAN do is visit the bathroom every couple of hours.

Edit: wait I wasn't done! This week I also need to dye my hair and shave my side, because SUNDAY MORNING is my video call! Which I still haven't timed and don't know how this is going to go! PANIIIICCCCC!!

I'm looking into the utilities I need to set up, and also when I can bring the kittens in. I'm doing the bulk of the moving on the long weekend, and I think the week after would be a good time to get them. That will leave me a little wiggle room to pay the pet deposit if I can't swing it before I move. Also looking into their spays, and getting them registered with the city.

You have to register cats with the city? Like a dog license?

Yes, it's a cat license. I think the idea is to have them registered so if they get lost they can be returned (and many other completely legit and not at all bureaucratic reasons (eyeroll)). I didn't have Guido registered until the last year and a half of his life and it was never an issue. I'm sure there are MANY MANY MANY people who don't do that at all, but since this is a rental from a company, it's in their agreements. It's not expensive at least, and I will feel much better knowing they have a clear trail back to me.
