I did leave early on Friday, paid the deposit, took a nap, did my errands, and was awake at 4 am again. After an hour of faffing around on my phone, I decided to do something, so I spent an hour or so unpacking as quietly as I could. It was mostly going through papers, as one of the very first boxes was the "junk corner". I went back to bed and napped (really), then went to the budget grocery chain I love and shopped with all of the old people, unpacked some more, and then it was time for KITTENS!!!
they were very busy for a good two hours, exploring everything and getting into stuff. I wanted to nap but I was expecting my friends to come by and drop off a table, which ended up being nearly 3 hours later. More poor sleep that night too, I was in bed at like 8:30 and lights out by 9, and I did sleep but when I woke up it was 11:59! Rude!
Yesterday was a lazy day. I reached the point of unpacking where the largest amount of boxes left is all sewing-related and it's honestly overwhelming. I was eyeing the space last night and thinking how I could have totally had both bedroom and living room in the same space and used the bedroom for my sewing stuff, but that is not conducive to good sleep habits and would have defeated the whole point of looking for a place with a bedroom. I WANT the sewing stuff in my main space, but I think a lot of it will need to be stored in the bedroom. I just don't quite know how to arrange or store it at this time.
Kittens were still busy. They had a long nap in the afternoon, and so did I. I put the TV stand together and set that up properly, and watched a vaguely conspiracy-theory flavoured series about the end of the last ice age. The last episode featured Dry Falls and Grand Coulee in Washington, which I've been to! That was neat. Cooking was interesting as they wanted to investigate, so I spent half of the time just managing them lol. I was meant to bake a portion of my dinner in the oven, but that set off the smoke alarm, so I fried it instead. It also made the kitchen like 8 million degrees, so I chanhed out the showerhead so I wouldn't get pressure washed again and had a shower. Which the kittens also investigated.
Calcifer came to lie with me when I went to bed. She is so sweet.
