Sep. 25th, 2023 09:01 amPurple sparkleball appeared randomly on Friday night, but yellow, green and red have disappeared lol. I check under furniture but I have no idea where they go, because they are not under anything. Purple was the toy of the morning, being chased up and down the hall and onto my bed. Then, as I tried to make my bed, Calcifer reached out and slapped my hand, and I am now sporting three more shiny new scratches that drew blood.
I had Guido for so long as a solo cat that I have completely forgotten what kittens, and especially what two kittens, are like. I love them so much and I better stock up on some polysporin.
In other kitten news, my sibling and I were at the grocery store yesterday and I spied a man with a small creature on his shoulder, which turned out to be a 14 week old Sphinx kitten. I asked if I could say hi to the kitty, and he asked if I wanted to hold them. Obviously I said yes. The baby was so warm and soft! Made my whole day.
I sewed a thing! I admitted to myself that I was not going to finish the project in time for the challenge period (really wish the first month of this knit-along wasn't WIP lol) so I was going to start the project i'd signed up for, but obviously and especially because of the kittens, I needed a project bag to put it in. I've been wanting to make some triangular-shaped bags and finally said YES IT'S TIME. I pulled out some fabric and some leftover quilt batting and got to work. Poor Sophie was very curious about this previously silent and stationary object that I was now sitting at and it was making noise?? I let her explore it for a time, but didn't realize she hadn't completed her inspection when I started to sew again, and she went LEAPING away. Like I can only liken it to a dolphin leaping, boing boing boing! On the plus side, she did not come near the machine again and instead took up a post on one of the boxes to supervise my activities lol. An hour later, I had a new bag!
