As long as she's not playing with the doll, which i very much doubt she would be, she'll be fiiiine lol. I would absolutely toss it and start over if it was going to a child. In order to make the leftover yarn safer to use, it would need to be washed and I just cannot be bothered to do that before moving it along.

The contamination happened in the VERY early covid days, I had an appt with my doc like a week after shut-downs and I was worried bc I was all stuffy, but was it allergies, new!covid, or asbestos exposure??? He told me that it would be more of an issue with extended and repeated exposure. And let me tell you, trying to find an N95 mask in those days so I could walk into the apartment to deal with the insurance people was *impossible* -_-
