totchipandaTrying to model good behaviour for my newbie and not doing personal stuff at work, so here is a sneaky post after she's left but I'm still here! Mwahaha.
Lumped around for a lot of Saturday, and eventually chose to restart the one long-term WIP. I put about 6 new stitches into it before realising that the previous stitcher (my mum + me) had done the crosses opposite of how I do them now. I have never started a project like this on my own, so I cut some fabric and started over. I have all of the flosses except three, and none of the filament threads that sparkle, but I am not there yet. The fabric was rolled on a tube and wrapped in brown paper that read "December 1991" and the tape that was holding it in place fell away with a sneeze so... it's all vintage, I suppose lol.
Been doing the work of at least two people as I train my newbie, so have been mentally exhausted and doing very little when I come home. My laundry basket is so full but it is so cold now (9F today, and temps are dropping) and I just can't be bothered QUITE yet. I have a plan for dinner tonight, so I really hope to be able to work on some sewing instead of anything else. Must charge my Switch bc there is a new update for my game!
Yesterday, M and I bought our flights and booked the hotel!! We paid $400 round-trip each, which you'll have to trust me is a good price for inter-Canada travel! Then we weren't going to book the hotel just yet, but J found us a good spot and price, and we don't have to pay for that until we're actually THERE. So excited!!
