Trick wrote a lovely piece of utter filth based on a convo we'd had, and I was inspired to write my own version of it, so I spent the last few nights doing just that. It was great fun, if complicated because I was essentially rewriting their piece. Still needs a bit of resolution, but I'd reached the climax (hehehehehehehe gigglesnort) of the piece and took a break to make dinner.

After, it was back to the mantle, which is now completely hemmed. The pattern does indeed call for the neckline to be bound, but before I started that I wanted to figure out the hood pleats. I don't have the actual pattern instructions so I'm unsure if I've started it correctly, but it looks OK (two sets of stacked pleats), and Costume Close Up was no help, just saying "tucks between the marks". What does that mean! Tucks are not pleats. Grrr I know I'm overthinking it, it's not that deep. But it was already 9:30 by then so nope, no more sewing, it is time for bed. Tonight I can probably do that and then put the body together, and then work on trimming.

Weekend plans are a lot of being a homebody, but also seeing the new Wicked movie. I know I'm gonna cry a lot, so the box of Kleenex is coming with me.
