well the good news about my teeth is that its only going to cost $1700 or so to get all of my wisdoms out :3 The dentist there is very nice, friendly and energetic.

the bad news is that it is surgery, and reading the post-operative care, is fucking scary. I've never been anaestheticised(?) for anything in my whole life.


No pictures of the boys today. It's -18 out, but the wind is a true albeta wind -- 70 miles an hour and fifty-two below. Even though Saki looks so pretty right now... I am NOT going back out there.

They write those warning things so that int he million to one chance any of those things happen to you, you can't sue them for 'not knowing the risks'. Most people just have LOTS of pain, are too sore to eat solid foods for a week or more, and then are fine. I think the worst part (haha, how can I say this, never having gotten it done yet either?) is the BIG FRIGGING AMOUNT of money it costs up front...insurance only covers so much, apparently....

my insurance only covers $1k in dental expenses per year, but the office submitted a "plan of attack" and the insurance company will send me the details of what they will cover and what I owe... it seems like theyre at least partially covered from the book i have.

I remember a certain someone suffering dry socket too, but that was so long ago, I dont remember much more than that it hurts a lot.

seems like it would be about as painful as my busted rib, in a way.... though that wasn't fun and I certainly don't want to repeat the experience. *iz a chicken!*

although, I was expecting $2800-3600 for all four to be removed, so $1700 doesnt seem that bad in comparison :D

Me: I know it costs a ridiculous amount of money...
Dentist: *lol* That's because we go to school for ten years with no paychecks to learn how to do it. ;)
