MY RED VELVET SUIT OF DOOM HAS BLACK VINYL COLLARS NOW. It looks pretty spankin'.

Tomorrow: Top-stitching, hat. The hat will be INCREDIBLY Basic, but whatever. I don't have time to make it as sexy as it's supposed to be.

Leave the seams unstiched a little bit at the brim and crown where you want to attach the eyelet tape so you can just tuck the ends of it neatly inside. And I'm sure it'll be sexy ;)

do you need any kind of studs? I might have some...

I was just going to handsew it all on to whatever it needs to go on... I only JUST got home, it's gonna take me a couple hours to make the hat, I still have to do the stuff on the jacket... it's not gonna be 100% at all :( I can worry about making it better later.

I do need studs, but again, that's something I can add later, when I have more time to embellish stuff. Oh if only it was next weekend that I needed it for, and not this....

I think the studs that I have are probably too big for it anyway.... and the eyelets on teh hat are set in the velvet and not in twill like the rest as I stare at my wall. ^^;;

gawd, is it ever ^^;;; It kinda sucks that this is my first "real" cosplay, and it's going to be so half-assed :(

There's that too ^^;; I should have enough scraps to remake the hat again when necessary, but for now, just a hat will do. I had a felt one at work that's the perfect shape except for the brim being too narrow. It'll make a great pattern/interlining :D
