Jun. 19th, 2018 10:22 pmIm not any closer to a decision on the redingote, though im leaning towards contrast. I found some teal dinosaur taffeta in my stash, and some turquoise sateen that i stole from Nicole.
Instead ive been poking away at other projects. I drafted some sleeves on Sunday, that i need to mock up still, started the long stays, and finished my cravat tonight. Im at a point where a lot of things need finishing, and a lot of small things need making. Eek! Trying not to think of the deadline.
I also had another "fashion whyyyy" moment this week. Its been close to 30C all week and while it's only Tuesday, ive been wearing shorts and loose knit shirts. Even tho i love various things about the shirts (namely the lace treatments at the neck) i do not like how they fit at all. So im starting to think about wovens again, even tjo i remember hating how wovens feel on my skin. Bah, fashion whyyyyy. Maybe i can mitigate a bit with a cami or something. At least i feel closer to figuring out where i want to go fashion-wise.
