house selling saga: paint edition
Aug. 1st, 2023 01:38 pmthis needs to be a series now because I am the homeowner's contact which means she calls me about EVERYTHING.
Yesterday's conversation:
Her: can i give your name/number to the painting people?
me: sure, but keep in mind i'm mostly available evenings and weekends
her: ok no problem
Paint person: (does something very sensible and TEXTS me, including a link to their site and how to submit photos online)
Her: is no one home early?
me: no, roomie m works until 6 most days and roomie J and i are home around 530 mostly
her: call me later
UGH WHY how about NO.
Then I DID call her and she forgot why. She was like "uh... did i call you?" and then was trying to remember what we were talking about when she asked that. SO it comes down to that she's going to come into the city towards the end of August and she's going to see if the painting guy can come in while she's there. She wanted to ask him if he also does wall finishing prior to painting or if it's just paint. She was like "why does the whole place need to be painted as per the real estate agent!" I don't know. It's been 10+ years since it was painted, it needs to be done again? But she's gonna do it all beige or brown and the next people might want to redo it anyway.
I will be so happy when we are out of there.
Saw another place yesterday, it's allegedly 700 sq ft. The bathroom was huge and the bedroom and living rooms were tiny. It reminded me a lot of the home my grandparents live(d) in. Not for me thanks.
Interview with the co-op either today or tomorrow, they haven't let me know which yet.
