Alas

I did not get into the housing co-op, which is fine, I had a feeling that was going to be the case. Hilariously, I was driving to pick up Roomie M and the route took me past another area I was looking at, and I was overwhelmed with the desire to email the leasing agent RIGHT NOW!!! Not even half an hour later I got the email. They've offered to put me on the wait list, but my finances mean I wouldn't be able to accept if a unit became available in the middle of a rental lease.

Sent that email this morning, am looking at the community my aunt recommended, selfishly close to her haha.

IT'S A LONG WEEKEND YAY! The last long weekend was bisected by spraining my wrist and ended with the awful messages from my boss, so I am really hoping this one goes better! M is off tomorrow as well so we plan to go through the kitchen and destash anything we won't use. I think I might put a couple of my furniture pieces that I'm not taking on marketplace. We hope to take the unwanted kitchen things to the store, and then go pick up a furnace filter and some boxes for book-packing.

(Yes, we discussed not replacing the filter, but it's been several months since the last time and it may be contributing to blockage in the furnace which would affect our AC and also our breathing space, so really we're replacing it for US.)

Aside from packing, I have three glorious days off in a row. What shall I sew? I feel like I should start getting some of my autumn sewing started before I get swamped by packing and moving and unpacking. So I have options, with trousers and skirts and dresses, I have fabric set aside for cardigans, and I would like to make a few more chafing-preventing-shorts to wear under said skirts and dresses. I did finally iron the one dress and pinned its seams, but that was as far as I got, and I also pinned up the hem on the not-Wilder gown. Would love to get these little things off my list :D
