Got home and said THIS IS HAPPENING RIGHT NOW. Pulled out the pattern pieces I needed to a very basic test of the Bruyere shirt, shortened them by half an inch in the upper chest area/back, cut it out of plaid (Calcifer helped) and stitched it together. It's... fine. The waist dart is placed well but the side bust dart is too low, possibly because I forgot to mark the point when I projected it so I just guessed at where it went. It fit snugly without being too tight, button bands will... not add any width so I will have to check that again. I think I might need to add some length back in bc currently the edge (without waistbands or skirts) is in my ribs. Adding in those seam allowances is not going to help, it'll look like an empire waisted shirt and that's not what the design looks like.

Tonight I plan to take the train two more stops and pick up my book from the library and then walk home. I have --- kms left in my gas tank (aka under 50km) and also it's like 1km away so not exactly a drive-only location. Although if the weather doesn't cooperate, we shall see if that plan works out. Yesterday was gorgeous, sunny and breezy without being too hot, today it's cloudy. As long as it doesn't rain it will be fine.

Slept like crap again, awake at 4 am and trying to sleep at 6:30 (nope, need to get up!) when I was suddenly taken with inspiration on how to catalogue my fabric stash with Airtable. Now to set it up! It's tricky on the mobile app so it might have to wait until I get home lol.
