Sep. 3rd, 2026 10:31 amOne week later, we're getting better lol (Also my supervisor is away today, so I feel a little saucier about doing stuff on my hobbies while at work. Within reason.)
Another faire this past weekend where I was helping vend. It was the first event for this group, in a rural barn/exhibition grounds area in between two small cities and 25 minutes from my place on the east side of the capital city. The address was literally "(numbers) Range Road ABC". My friend was hoping to make $5k as a stretch goal for the weekend. Readers, we made $15k. It was VERY well attended. Her husband got pulled away for a couple hours to direct traffic for parking. They ran out of wristbands. My friend and I ran the back of her (VERY LARGE) booth while another friend ran the front table. It was GREAT. Lots of lessons learned and improvements to be made, but for a first-time event, it was a success.
Post show season, I want to help her get her website running. I think the person who was supposed to be helping her has dropped back. I haven't seen them in awhile. My friend has decided not to participate in any shows run by the person who is limiting her footprint. There are other shows popping up now that she can attend, and a website will be very useful.
Been spending my weeknights rotting, but long weekend coming up and I wanna do stuff! I was invited to a birthday party at a local thrift store which sounds delightful, but aside from that, I am planning to stay home. Next weekend is yarn fest + aunt's house, weekend after is Expo (which I am working), and then after that is a Broadway show. Who am i!
