I did accomplish a few things on my list, amazingly! I got ill on Sunday afternoon/evening and have been recovering ever since. I think it is an abdominal migraine because we had weather move in on Friday evening/Saturday (mostly windy, snow was falling but it hit the ground and melted) and my head was trying to hurt then. Felt fine on Saturday, took a nap Sunday and was already feeling off, but attributed it to having barely eaten all day. Nope, at a big dinner and some popcorn and let's just say my body purged its demons. I then was awake until 5 am, slept for three hours, laid around (feeling better but not great) until I went to my aunt's, where I ensconced myself in a chair and remained except to get up and get food. No more demons. I am at work but sitting up is mildly unpleasant, and my upper abs do not like coughing or sneezing, so I have elected to remain at home this evening instead of dancing. Phoo.

BUT. Before all that, I got the buttonholes sewn. I got the walking foot working (it needed a lot of grease, but it IS a mid-century foot that hasn't been used in who knows how long) and stitched a goodly portion of the quilt. I won thread chicken with the spool I was using, but changed it out for a different one because I still have 4 rows to stitch, but it suddenly wouldn't accept the thread through the tension discs. ANY thread at all, not even the one I had just been using. I pulled the unit out of the machine like 6 times, resetting the mechanism 3, and it WORKS, it just will not allow a thread to pass through when its in place. Ok, fine.

Maybe I can borrow Dad's machine, which is a twin of this one?

Oh come ON, totchi, you have TEN OTHER MACHINES. They're just all pot-motors or treadle (and one slant shank), and I'm not sure if I got the right size rubber belt for the pots or have cleaned up the treadles to a confidently working state.

I folded the quilt and put it aside, and put a few rows into the shawl instead.

Yesterday, I took my knitting to my aunt's house for kitten-free time, and I actually finished the shawl! Bound it off just before dessert. Still need to weave in ends and block it, but it is OFF THE NEEDLES. I did not get to either of the two other projects I brought.

In other news, I have officially hit 90 days at new job which means I am OFFICIALLY OFFICIAL WOOHOO!
