Hoo boy. I have to cancel Seattle again.

We took Nuriko to the vet 2 days ago, concerned about her weepy eye, I can't even remember what else now. Anyway, she had lost 2lbs and was dehydrated, plus with her super-stinky breath, the vet feared some kidney problem, so they kept her overnight on fluids and did some bloodwork. Then they called me yesterday morning with the results and it was NOT GOOD. She has severe renal disease :( the one number i remember, the normal range is 5-12, and her's was at 88. The other number was sky-high too. Not a good outlook. SO, needless to say I'm sure, I was very upset. The options were, keep her at the vet over the weekend on fluids and potassium and hopefully bring the numbers down or... put her down.

srsly, I cried from 10:30 AM to 3 PM.

decided to keep her there over the weekend and see if she improves, and worry about results on Monday. SO in the meantime, she's racking me up a good $1000 in vet bills :( no trips for me. I'll be paying this off until Otafest.
