Apr. 2nd, 2006 08:56 pmSo, the latest news on my computer is: it's not going to be fixed before their 60-day money-back guarantee thing kicks in (in 4 days...) because they can't get any parts with any consistency, so they're going to request it back for us.
Now, the first time we were told about this, is that we could use it, but we would not get ANY of the computer bits back, not even the ones I had put in (harddrive, cd-r drive). This was an issue; the other HD is MINE, it's reasonably new and its MINE. The CD-r is old, but its still mine >.> But anyway, we checked today, and he said they would request the computer back, transfer the information from the stock HD onto mine, give it and anything else I had put into it back, and replace the tower (up to $500 i think?)
but my bro just made up a new computer for himself and fixed up the "old" parts for me (they're about 18 months old, much better than what I had on Kyo) to borrow in the meantime. Dad says he'd consider selling this to me for what he paid for it ($500) and it's kinda worth it for the 200 G HD alone... I'm going a little crazy here, wanting to install this and that and the other thing, but I don't know if I'm even going to be keeping this tower.
We have to take the other bits of Kyo that I still have in on Thursday and see about replacing him.
The new computer is going to be called Ashura <3
