I made the mistake of looking up dolls :( I blame Saki; he looked so uncomfortable in his suit* that I thought he needed summer clothes. I started looking at new bodies for Ren, since I'm now dissatisfied with the resin match (which has always been horrible), and it just kinda went downhill from there.

Two conclusions:

1: All the Puki full sets around the one that I wanted are sold out, except for him, so it's likely that he will also be sold out soon. Sadness, since it will be months before I could afford it.

2: This is a lovely, lovely, lovely hunk of resin and paint and I kinda wish I could find some way to fit it into the "family". (Also, see point 1 for funding woes.)

*(This is likely because I kinda just left him on my bed after getting him back from Jay's car, and then it was bedtime. I was tired, he needed to get out of it, so I just kinda plunked him down out of the way, and the result is a rather ungainly sprawl inside of a box...)

In other news, the dress I am making for the wedding this weekend is turning out lovely, and aside from one fitting issue, should be done tomorrow :) Not too shabby considering I started out with a size 10 discontinued pattern when I need a size 14 ;)

My dress will of course not even come close to rivalling yours, but its still supremely cute :D

I think I know what you mean. Most of them just make me go "eh" these days, but photos like that fire all sorts of ideas... (the body would be lovely for a "model" character, its already painted like my sexy rock n' roll boys. In a way, ideal for Ren just as shown... Not that I could bring myself to part with his head in the first place...)
