Brief update

totchipandaStill furiously working on my novel! Just a few days left, and then I jump straight into holiday work. I don't see myself having any time to sit down and do something that is not writing or working until pretty darn close to Christmas. I hope I remember how busy I am right now when I'm sitting around in the throes of SAD in February and March. I don't actually like being this busy, I feel a little swamped and overwhelmed (and yet, it's not as bad as it was in July).
Anyway, I'm awtching a costume drama movie, and the thought occured to me that I should start thinking about what to make next year. I should plan costumes around hopeful events, whether or not I can go to them, because one can never have too many clothes in her wardrobe!
I'm not sure I want to finish/rework Tauriel. After the debacle that happened this year on the day I wore it, it really turned me off the costume completely (I almost didn't wear it, but since I had already spent so much time on it, I did anyway, and now I kind of wish I hadn't). I never have a chance to do group costumes, because Nicole plans with Tara and Maggie (they all like to do contests, and I don't) and I'm usually on my own. I don't even know where to start! I have to work with what's in my stash too, since I am very much le-broke. We'll see, I suppose.
I'm nearly done a "quick" knitting project. I've only had an hour or so every other day to work on it, so while it has progressed rather quickly with that limitation, I'm excited for it to be done. It's finally winter here, so I could use a toasty-warm colour-work hat!
