Spent a total of just over 3 hours today dealing with 41lb monster pumpkin the lovely [livejournal.com profile] andrea_miccaver gifted me in December :D PHEW it was a lot of work. My arm will be sore from all the chopping I did lol. There will be rippling benefits too, since now I will be able to make pumpkin things for potlucks :D Ooooh I can't waaaait to make more pie!

I traded entertainment centres with [livejournal.com profile] koosei yesterday too. We are both very pleased with our decision and new-to-us entertainment centres :D Mine still fits everything except the VCR (so, PS 1, 2, and 3, XBox 360, Wii and Gamecube), even though I've only hooked up the PS3 and XBox. It sits in the corner and now that corner looks SO MUCH BIGGER than it used to! I'm so happy.

Between the moving and chopping, the shower I took this afternoon was GLORIOUS.

Then I finished a cap for the HSM challenge (that I still need to photograph), and started a market hat that I'm hoping to have done tonight. We shall see, because it's finally game night! YAAAYYYYY! Time for my half-elf cleric to go preach the value of libraries to the unwashed masses :D

I got a couple bits of Important Mail this past week. One of which is my vehicle registration, which I already knew about but this has the papers I need to renew. The other was an offer from my rental company to lock into my current rental rate for 6-12 months (or stay month-to-month). I'm thinking it's probably a good thing, or rather a good thing in the face of a bad situation. The economy sucks at the moment, hugely. I've been here over 2 years now, with only the one increase at the end of my lease, and I've been month-to-month ever since. I still want to look into buying a condo some day, maybe soon, but right now, my feeling is "ehhhh I don't want to move ;_;", not to mention I'm a little scared of moving and then finding out my new place has terrible neighbours or is over a meth lab or whatever. So staying month-to-month would give me the most flexibility, but renewing a lease would give me the most stability, and that I think would take a lot of worry off my mind since they could raise it at any time. Plus they are offering incentives to sign, which is also tempting. I still have a little bit of time to think about it, I have to return the form by the 16th.
