Gosh, I didn't even think to finish my thoughts about the other night haha. Tuesday was singularly awful what with the largely-self-induced insomnia Monday night. I slept OK on that night and spent a lot of yesterday overly tired. I took TWO naps yesterday (one at lunch, didn't even wake up when someone came to ask me a question, and one after I got home so that I'd make it through dance class but also hopefully class would burn off some of the renewed energy) and was only up until 1-ish. Waking up was HARD this morning. I kept looking at my phone alarm like "what is the strange device making noise and how can I get it to stop". Took me a bit longer to get my hair sorted than I expected so I waltzed into the office at 7:58. Phew. I'm still really tired and not sleeping great, but it's already a vast improvement over 2 days ago.

Spent most of my lunch today planning my gown! I'm really excited. I'm going to use Laughing Moon's drop-front pattern (126?), partly because I want a dress I can get into myself! I really want to try it out (I couldn't come to a decision about it in October so I put the pattern away until something jumped at me). I have two options for a white dress, the IKEA curtains and about 4m of Indian muslin. Either will need an underpetticoat as they are both quite sheer, and I probably have enough of the 3.5oz linen I bought a couple years back for the lining. If I plan it just right, I can use it for this month's HSM challenge too hehehe (which is leading me to the muslin, as the IKEA curtains already have raised decorations)

I did a bit of poking around too about sleeveless spencers and I'm feeling pretty confident about a simple little vest, it's just the fabric I'm not decided on. This will be a bit of a future-project because I want to get the dress done first, but the more decisions I can make while I have the wherewithal to make them is best! I have (all polys, as far as I can tell):

-scraps of teal or burgundy taffeta I MIGHT be able to scrape a plain vest out of
-navy blue velvet
-orange taffeta with multi-coloured flowers embossed on it
-bright pale-ish blue satin (one day I will make a corset out of it but I only need about half for that)
-pink, blueish or brown light taffeta (each colour is made up of the colour in one direction and black in the other)
-bronze faux-duipioni
-Asian-inspired brocades
-the heavily printed end of the sari I made last year's gown out of

There might be more, and I suppose I could always raid Nicole's fabric bins too. I'm also considering design elements like a peplum or other hem decoration, patterns on the back, bound edges, etc. I suspect this will be dependent on what fabric I go with.

Speaking of Nicole, she'll think I'm crazy (she always says so) but I'm considering handsewing at least the bodices. The instructions are for machine but they seemed complicated to do it that way. I should look at them again and make sure I wasn't just imagining that (read them in the middle of Tuesday night's delirium, after all).

Lastly, I also want to make some outerwear, but the very least I should attempt to manage is a muff cover. I can always use the velvet Spencer and the wool hooded cloak I finally finished 2 years ago! (I have lots of faux fur, I should trim it XD Navy cloak and white or brown fur? Hmmmm)

For-real-lastly, I should also fix up and put my last loli things on Etsy. I think I started the fur-trimmed hood-cape-thing that went with the coat I made, I wonder where it ended up? Honestly February is a bad time to try and organize my apartment.
