Last night I traced off my pattern and added seam allowances. I didn't leave enough space between pieces to make it consistent though, so the gussets and "hard"edges are 3/8", while any seams that will be fitted along are 1/2". I won't have time tonight to work on it, but that gives me a bit more time to decide what I want to use as the mock-up fabric. I have a nice sturdy canvas-like weight, though of course my silly brain is worried about "wasting" it if the fit turns out to be way off. Not to mention, the construction method id use for a mock-up is not the one i want to use for the final version, which might necessitate recutting a whole new version. Silly silly brain.

My friend is going out of town for a week or so, so I'll be house-sitting this weekend. Debating bringing my sewing to her house :) If nothing else, I have a bunch of hand-sewing projects to do. I also wish I could bring my cat with me, I'd feel a lot less guilty about leaving him home alone!

Also debating upgrading my phone when my contract is up at the end of this month. My options are keeping my number but increasing my bill, keeping my number but paying out of pocket for a new phone (and still locked into a contract but lower bill), or new phone and new number and lower bill. The last two are complicated by being a work-purchase plan, and what happens if I leave the company during the contract period (2 years)? I need to do more research before I decide.
