Been snuggling the cat and reading patterns since i can't do repetitive motions with ny hands tonight. I forgot i picked up some cotton organdy at CoCo for a cap(s) but when i found a cap pattern, i remembered! I dunno if i want to use the pattern though.
Also read through tje habit shirt and habit again. I could do the habit petticoat soon, but i really need to get the habit shirt done first before i can get started on the waistcoat and jacket. And that leads me to some ruminations!
-what if i cant find the wool i want to use? I know where i have a stash of navy, but hpw many dark items do i really need? I'd really prefer to find tje lighter stuff.
-what colour/fabric waistcoat do i make? Same fabric? Different fabric? If different, what kind? I have more polys than naturals. How tailored will i have to make the waistcoat if i go with something light?
-also linings and jacket skirt facings. What do? My sleeves should be slippy at least, and i could do a fun contrasting skirt lining (tho again, in wjat?)
-because of the class i took, i will be fitting tjis over a quilted petticoat which is already done. Woot! Will need to try on and perhaps make some minor adjustments simce i originally fitted over a linen petticoat. Should be easy.
Well at least tje night doesn't feel totally wasted. This will give my brain somejting tp chew on while i look for the wool and let my wrist heal up.
