Mar. 3rd, 2018 05:05 pmOh hey there. What's up? Im starting to feel better, now that im getting literal face fulls of sunlight every day (morning drive to the east, evening to the west). This feels like a super awkward thing to post, and i won't go into all my brainweasels right now, but there it is.
Ive been knitting more than sewing the past month, but im feeling like the universe is trying to tell me something. There's been so many gorgeous sacques being shared and worked on all over my media, all i can hear is "make oooonnneeeeee". Im just worried about not having enough fabric. I bought 8 yards on M's recommendation but is that enough for a sacque and fashion-front petticoat and trimming? M's sack was trimmed in organza and im planning to do at least some self-trim. I saw a gorgeous green striped one I tjink from Philadelpia during Georgian January on instagram that i can use as a direct inspiration. Id like to do tje basic gown first before the petticoat (totally against my usual mode of operations!) to make sure i have enough for basics.
I desperately need to do laundry but i have to go out for it right now. I tried to reload my card today so i could do it here but the machine took my card and the cash, nd then spit both out and thr machines now say "bad customer id". Now im gonna have to call the company to figure out wtf, go out again to reload it, and then i might as well just go to my friend's house and do it. On top of that i am sick again (laundry room is across the hall, i could manage carrying it that far), and we are having a winter storm so tje roads are big ol sloppy messes. Gross. Annoying too cuz it seems like the laundry room was quiet all day, and if i got the card fixed tonight or tomorrow, i bet the room will be busy then. Hah. I guess ill see how i feel tomorrow.

Date: 2018-03-04 04:15 pm (UTC)8 yards does not seem like enough for saque, petticoat, and same fabric trim.
Save some fabric by making the top half of the back petticoat with some of other fabric? Or different colored petticoat like Abby? http://blog.americanduchess.com/2017/12/video-werein-lauren-abby-get-racked.html

Date: 2018-03-05 03:29 pm (UTC)Sunlight at this time of year is SO good. We were getting a good bit of sun this past week and I'd just stand with my face to the sun. Was wonderful feeling.
