Sacque part 6

Grr boo and damn. My petticoat ended up being 4" too long. Wtf. I ripped the back panel off and pinned up the front, and then layered up to try it on (sans stays. Shoulders will not enjoy straps atm). The dress us either just a tiny bit longer or a tiny bit shorter; i dont have a full-length mirror to check. But that should be perfect. So eveything got pressed and now i just need to do the sewing part.
I also semi-decided on trimming. After cutting my bodice trim strips, i have 1 yard of fabric left. I can cut 6 more strips to do the whole hem-to-hem and at least one sleeve fluffle (which i also drafted this am, with Guido's excellent "help"), possibly 2. I do think i want hem-to-hem as the gown edge gets lost on the print.
In searching for cotton sacques, i found a couple more. All of them had sleeve fluffles and varying types of trim, but all of them had some type of trim on their trim. So im thinking a narrow ribbon box-pleated to the edges? Unless i can find a decent-looking wavy trim of some sort... Either way, im gonna experiment with the rolled hem foot. If the trim edges will be covered by more trim, no one's gonna see the hem anyway. Mwahahaha.
I thought i was gonna finish the gown this weekend. It'll be "done" - done as much as i can until i get tje little finishing touches. (ack what kind of tucker do i put on this? I have some less Victorian-wallpaper looking lace somewhere...)
