T-minus 30 days OH GAWD ITS SO SOON (deep breaths)
Baby steps. So tonight:
Got my facing patterned, cut, and pinned in place. Finished one hem on a cap piece, and atarted the next. This fine sewing is hard on my hands. I also think my hems look enormous but they're only a little over 1/8".
I put the redingote on my dress form to see how big tje facing needed to be and my cat leapt underneath it to play in the skirt. No! Bad kitty! You do not get to play under the silk!
I also got news on some yarn i ordered in April. It arrived with customs fees that had been entered as nearly $7 more than tje paper listed. I disnt realize at the time that on the back of the form for overpaid fees, i sent it back. I got a letter in early may, called the number on it and never ever reached a person no matter when i called. Never heard back, never got the yarn. Well today it arrived back at the seller in Louisiana, and we're gonna try to mail it again :D CBSA's website indicated held property was taking over 400 days to be processed, i was worried it might never be released!
