Winter, again

Another week has gone by. How does this happen every time!
I got the go ahead to post publicly about the pattern test, though I still can't share a full photo, so I shared a cropped one on Instagram. I started pattern-hacking it over the weekend to be a one-piece dress, and I have to put buttons and holes on, plus hem, and then its done! I ran out of matching thread so now I have to decide if I want to go to the store to get another spool, or use something "close enough". I had cut the dress from a regular shirtwaist pattern before, and then cut it down (imperfectly), so it's a bit short, and I just need to decide what to do with that. Hem it too short? Add a band? Make a new, shorter petticoat, which I will do at some point anyway?
Then I need to figure out photos PRONTO so I can get them done to share all over the place once the pattern is live :3 Outdoors is still iffy (not only did we have a winter storm complete with snow on Saturday, but since nothing is growing yet its all gross and brown) and my house isn't exactly photogenic without setting up a staging area. Plus I have to consider the very real possibility of doing it solo, so how to prop my phone up?
I mentioned my blog in a group chat today, and someone asked me for the link. I wanted to get back to blogging last year, but then the flood happened... and then I was furloughed... I wrote a whole bunch of posts late last year, and most of them are just awaiting photos. Some of the stuff I plan on blogging about pattern drafting et al would also be good as a video series, which I have drafted out a bunch of scripts. I refuse to let blogging die! So many ideas, so little time.
Second game of Star Trek was put on hold already, as our GM fell down his (outdoor, concrete and be-tiled) stairs after the aforementioned storm. But that gives me a bit more time to build some of my character's backstory.
