When you want more Freddy Carter in your life, so you end up watching Free Rein, a show aimed at young teen girls and getting invested. I watched all of season 1 yesterday while I was sewing, started season 2 before my roomie came home, and then watched more of s2 while I was awake in the middle of the night with insomnia, and now I'm awake again and watching the rest of S2...

It's actually quite a cute show. There was a lot of screaming at some of the cheesiness. Bob is the best horse.

And Freddy is great. I can see why he was cast in Shadow and Bone. I was doomed from ep 2 when his character made a rude remark to the main character and I thought "wow, rude" and then realized that its the Mr Darcy archetype I frickin' love so much. OK, well here I am. Watching a teen horse show on a Sunday morning.

I made up Wearing History's smooth sailing pants yesterday. I had whatever size pack came up to a 34" waist which is a 43" hip. There was plenty of room for my 46" hip. I needed to deepen the crotch curve and added some length to the CB and CF, and I moved the front pleats out a little, but otherwise it needed very little adjustment. I started with a shorts pair to fine-tune the waist and hip, and then moved on to a full length pair in raw silk to see how the leg looked. Aside from too long and not having the right size of waistband, it was going well.

Then it was lunch time and Guido insisted on naptime, so I haven't gotten back to it yet. At least I'll have one pattern ready to go.
