Phew, broke the streak of daily posting. That was weird hahahahahahhahahahahahahah (nervous glances)

Call went well. I did ask about ADHD screening and he was reluctant to try adding in another med to my current cocktail. I knew from a friend that her experience in diagnosis and treatmeant was more about the impact on her life rather than a series of symptoms, and currently my issues are not impacting my life severely. Later I was like... I should have pushed, bc it's impacting my life period. And then I flip flop and waffle back and forth. Yesterday I was considering locating a psychologist (mentioned by my doc), partly to work with them on this and I should get back into therapy anyway, but I've slept so terrible these last few days and... well... I forgot. (Siiiigh) We'll do the physical in February and I absolutely plan to call him back if I do decide to pursue chemical treatment options.

He renewed my other brain meds (far more important to me than adhd!!) and when I told him to send it to his neighbours, he told me that they closed!! I was suspicious of last month when I couldn't find their location on the chain's website. Their records went to another chain store that opened recently, but I had him send the scrip to the one closer to my house. A: I was a patient there for years, even though they've certainly purged my records by now (it was about 10 years ago when I left, and that was purely because it was more convenient for me at the time). B: they're on my way home, rather than backtracking a little through the mall. C: both locations are open until 9pm on weekdays.

The head pharmacist is very passionate about his job, and he walked me through some of the concerns with taking the two, namely that drinking alcohol while taking them severely increases my chances of having seizures. They also do online refill requests, and text people when their things are ready. Fuckin' yes! Some aspects of the modern age are the best. I went in that day anyway bc I needed a bus pass.

Work has been going well. New boss started this week and with the other person back, we are at a full team. Yesterday I woke up at 4 am and I was just SO STUCK on the idea that I was not supposed to be the reception back up once the new guy was trained. Maybe it won't be him after all, maybe it will be my other new coworker (grandboss said yesterday that she would love to have that gal be a clone of me, and oh that would be so wonderful! I wish I could just download my knowledge to her as easily as that) but really, it's not my role anymore and we were supposed to get me out of it! But that was before old boss left, so Im not sure if that is still the case? I really ought to just ask.

Although being over here for an hour and a half each day does make time go by fast... It's not the point.

Thanksgiving weekend! I have dinner plans on Saturday and otherwise nothing else going on. I didn't get to enjoy my last long weekend (literally last week -- sick!) so hopefully this one will be much better! My goal is to make a pair of pants. I have three new patterns to try out, though one is not printed. Wishing I had that book from a few posts ago still, so much excellent pants fitting advice.

If you borrowed "Ahead of the Curve", returned it and now need the pants fitting info, I will happily take photos of whatever part of the book you need.

"Grandboss" <- I'm stealing that!

I LOVE online reservations/being informed when I can pick something up etc. This is what technology was invented for: so we don't have to spend more time among people than absolutely necessary :D

It is something we want for ourselves too, but just two days ago I talked about this with my little brother. Just like our dad, he is very talented with his hands, building his own house(s), repairing anything etc etc (and never being able to hold down a job, avoiding taxes etc etc), but he too has a very romantic/naive view of being self-sufficient, though he does come from the exact opposite end from the typical "city people who never even raised a tomato plant in their lives move to the countryside and then flee back to the city in a year when they see how hard it is". I told him to be very smart about it, plan everything in advance, find a niche he could make money with, whether raising some exotic animal for its meat, or producing shiitake mushrooms for restaurants.
But maybe I just overthink and -plan everything, and that is why I go nowhere :D

A lady friend of mine always says that we should all get together, buy a big slice of land and build a sort of commune on it, because we all have different skills.
Not having to do everything yourself? Cool! Other people? EWWW NO

Mmmmm... I forget that Canadian Thanksgiving is earlier than U.S. Maybe some day, I should surprise my Canadian relatives with a visit so I can get double Thanksgiving. Ha
