My wrist is getting better! I had the wrap off all day yesterday, and today it's even less sore. I found a list of exercises (stretches, really) and I started those last night. Ouch! but not in a bad way, just uncomfortable. Considering my full body weight + gravity + momentum was behind the injury, it's very understandable lol.

Friends are coming on Saturday to meet the beanies. I hope they love them as much as I do. I visited yesterday, and picked them all up to huff their lil bodies. They don't LOVE being picked up, but they tolerate it, which is better than nothing.

Roomie M and I had a good chat yesterday about various things related to the house. They've been looking at places, Roomie J used prime day as a good excuse to start building up household items, they're looking at an early September move. We're both kind of excited about this new chapter in our lives and made noises about visiting and staying close. We're both also sad about the end of an era. Our friend had the house for the past 14 years, it was the safe landing for her when a relationship ended, and it was the place for me to go too when I needed comfort and shelter. It's meant a lot to us over the last decade and that part is closing.

So really I feel OK about moving. I hate moving, its terrible and zero fun and expensive, but emotionally, i am ok. We are at different points in our lives and we want different things. We are not breaking up our relationship, just our housing arrangement. I am kind of excited to live on my own again, with a kitten or two.

in other news, since my hand/wrist is better, my plan is to start preparing for a move. If I spend a small amount of time working on (super unfun aspect) daily, it should be manageable with 6-8 weeks prep time. I can work on "clutter" (I still don't know wtf the agent was on about), start packing things that aren't being used or won't be needed right away. I have good intentions to start de-cluttering my life in general. Get some costumes listed for sale. Make a list of things to either sell, donate, or toss that aren't easily moveable (like one of the couches, the table/chairs, dishes). Actually toss or donate things I don't want. Just... get it all out of my life. I have a timeline now. It needs to go.

And I want to spend a bit of time sewing. Sunday we have a Broadway show so I won't have a lot of time then, but aside from the beanies on Saturday, I'm free. Do i make another dress? A shirt? Work on pants? I wore a lot of my me-mades right before vacation and that was a fabulous feeling.

Maybe Canada is different, but when I was trying to find an apartment before I met Cyborg, saying I had a cat would be met with a shrug but saying I had two would get me turned down immediately.
