Jun. 11th, 2024 09:09 amBrain meds: gotted! I have 3 months on this refill so I will DEFINITELY book in with my doc before they run out! He's going to want to do the physical which includes squished boobs, can't wait lol.
House tidy: I happened to have a tri-fold piece of paper so I wrote each day at the top and then which room(s) I was going to tackle, and finally listing out the most crucial tasks. Some of them got put into the self-care app M got me started on*, like vacuuming, or will be when each day comes up. I lost part of the evening by going to the pharmacy and waiting for the meds to kick in a little bit, but I got two bins into the storage closet, unpacked two boxes and put away some other bits. There's still a LOT I'd like to get sorted out but for now, it will do. Then I vacuumed and congratulated myself on a job well done.
I ended up making dinner at like 8pm more because I knew I should and maybe I was hungry? So while that cooked, I did a pan of dishes (and marked it off the app list), put the recycling things in their bag, and swept the floor. And that was that!
Today I plan to do the bedroom, which will entail putting more large objects into storage, changing the sheets, dusting, and more vacuuming. And then I'll shower because is there anything better than climbing into clean sheets?? Tomorrow is kitchen/bathroom, which is a bit more wiping down and sweeping rather than declutter since I don't keep a lot of crap in those rooms lol. Garbages, recycling and cat litter will be evicted from the house.
*It's called Finch, and you get a little baby birb to take care of by putting goals on your list and checking them off. One of the goals you can add is "literally survive the day" and I know there will be days when I put that in! I'm hoping that by having lil Maple cheer me on and get stronger by like, idk vacuuming the floor once in awhile and checking that off a list, it'll help.
In the course of unpacking a box, I found two sparkleballs! Red (much loved) and Yellow are back in action! Calcifer immediately carried Red into the bathtub and then spent an exciting 20 minutes at least chasing one of them over the stack of recycled boxes I had waiting to go out. She was having A BLAST, it was so funny.
I am wearing my Bruyere shirt today and I had a moment of :3 when I put it on and was getting the kittens' breakfast ready. What a great feeling, something that I made and fits so well. Narrowing the shoulder by I think it was a half-inch was THE BEST DECISION. I did the mod "the right way" by drawing lines and cutting and taping along them, but I think I could get the same effect just by cutting the pattern off at the armscye edge. It sits perfectly on the point of my shoulder and isn't cutting into my arm. I think I would like to add that half-inch I took out in the chest back under the bust for a future version, this is sitting just ever so slightly too high. Loving this make!
