My sister messaged me that she and her boyfriend were coming down on the weekend to go visit our gramma, would I like to go with? Yes, yes I would. Gramma is 94 years old, currently in the hospital after a fall that fractured a part of her spine, and we don't know how much time we have left but I don't think she's going to make it to 95. So we did that and spent the rest of the day together. Love her, love her BF (sooooo much better than her dead weight ex), but it was a lot of togetherness. I was very glad to be at home by myself again, even if I was also very annoyed that I lost my bus pass somewhere in the course of the day. All I can say for sure is that it was not in their truck and it was not in my house. Dang it!
There was a music festival at the bottom of the hill all weekend, which meant that my area was FULL of "transient" parkers, meaning people who would leave their cars there and take transit or walk down. Annoying, but having done it myself, what can you do? I only went out for a bit on Saturday morning, took the first parking spot I could find, and didn't leave for the rest of the weekend. I walked out yesterday to take out the garbage (which the bin is overflowing and has been all week) and that was it! Made a little progress on the cross stitch, finished the April pair of socks and got decently far into a single May sock, debating if I want to start with June socks or start fresh for August.
I am off next week and I cannot WAIT!! I have plans to go to Calgary on Saturday for Knit City but as a day trip, and then will visit my gramma again during the week. My sibling and I will go see Deadpool, and then I have the weekend helping my friend. I found another costume bin so I will be sure to pull both of them out for sorting before I go. I want to do the housework I've been neglecting and start tidying, rearranging furniture, cataloging fabric, maybe even get my donations and the like out of the house. I can do anything I want! Like maybe that mock-up, events are creeping up lol.

Yay a week off, do all your stuff on the first two days so you can avoid feeling guilty when you've "wasted" the entire week by hiding under the blankets.
