Gonna cut this bc it's all body-related. Two weeks ago I stabbed myself right? As of Sunday night, my body is acting like my period has started. Cramps, lots of blood and clots, the works. Not quite as heavy as it has been or could be. In a non-medicated cycle, it's nearly a full week early. Plus this drug is supposed to stop them? What is happening here??

So I googled the drug. It's slow-release so while there may be some effects 1-2 weeks in, the most benefit starts in the 2-4 week range. Plus symptoms may get worse before they get better. And it being exactly 14 days and a few hours since I took it, it actually tracks that I'd be having a period right now. As I write this, I just went to the bathroom 20 mins ago and I already have to change the pad again so... this definitely more than the usual discharge I would be expecting otherwise. (ETA: I think the fact that I expected "usual discharge" is a whole other beast. I think it's very fair to say that most people don't leak 27 out of 29 days)

I'm not precisely mad about it because so far, it's manageable, and all this should be done before I leave. I just really didn't want to be dealing with the heaviest days while in NYC.
