Guido did GREAT in his surgery. It was so hard (emotionally) to drop him off in the morning. I was able to leave my car across the street from the clinic for easy coming-home. The vet called me right around lunch time to give me the news. His bad tooth was in the process of falling out anyway and it came out when they went in to do the cleaning. They didn't charge me for that since they didn't have to struggle with it at all (their words lol). He lost one other tooth, and needed a pretty significant cleaning.

Now that it's been a few days, he's been getting better nad better now that his teeth aren't bothering him. He still eats super messily and tracks food around the house, though I am making it less soupy so there's a little less to clean up. He's started trying to steal my food again, right up to knocking a cookie to the floor so he could eat it. I don't think so kitty cat, that's my cookie! I'm so happy he's in less pain.

Now we just gotta figure out his kidney stuff. He threw up the first batch of vet food, refused the second one, and the third one might be ok? It's still got chicken in it, but I didn't find any vomit aside from some cheese, which was ONLY cheese and no food. Maybe if I can mix it with fish-based food.

My fic writer wrote the fic, and it was delightful (fans self), so now I really need to get stitchin'!

I finished most of the corset on Thursday. I got it boned for a proper try-on yesterday and it needs a little adjustment. I have a pretty significant wrinkle at the side and over hte back hip, so I think I need more room there. I'm willing to add a gusset, since this is my LOVELY coutil and I don't really have enough to recut even half of it, I'm just not sure WHERE. At the front of the wrinkle? The middle? The back? I've put it aside for now while I ponder that.

I also took measurements while I was laced in. The spoon busk makes my tummy quite flat, visually

Today I went ahead with a pair of combos. I waffled on the fabric, and finally went with linen. (USE THE GOOD FABRIC). I also cut up a sheet to use for a shirt.

Yesterday I also took a pattern from my favourite pair of now-unwearable jeans, and then laid the pieces on top of each other, and y'all - those period tailoring manuals are on to something. The drawings look a lot like the drafting patterns. So im gonna give them a go!
