Guido did GREAT in his surgery. It was so hard (emotionally) to drop him off in the morning. I was able to leave my car across the street from the clinic for easy coming-home. The vet called me right around lunch time to give me the news. His bad tooth was in the process of falling out anyway and it came out when they went in to do the cleaning. They didn't charge me for that since they didn't have to struggle with it at all (their words lol). He lost one other tooth, and needed a pretty significant cleaning.
Now that it's been a few days, he's been getting better nad better now that his teeth aren't bothering him. He still eats super messily and tracks food around the house, though I am making it less soupy so there's a little less to clean up. He's started trying to steal my food again, right up to knocking a cookie to the floor so he could eat it. I don't think so kitty cat, that's my cookie! I'm so happy he's in less pain.
Now we just gotta figure out his kidney stuff. He threw up the first batch of vet food, refused the second one, and the third one might be ok? It's still got chicken in it, but I didn't find any vomit aside from some cheese, which was ONLY cheese and no food. Maybe if I can mix it with fish-based food.
