Thank goodness I checked the weather before I left this morning, we have a heat warning in effect for the next few days. That changes how I want to get dressed and what footwear I use, so I am better prepared for being blasted later in the day. Today is t-shirt and sandals and my terrible RTW pants that show snapped elastics on every seam around my hips and do not stay up.
Proud to say that I got EVERY ITEM on my to-do list done yesterday while listening to the hockey game. During the first intermission I was eating dinner and I had the back door open; I didn't realize how clear it sounded through all that space and someone yelled GO OILERS!! During second intermission, I vacuumed and then took the garbage out but left the phone playing on the table, which is how I discovered it hahaha. Whatever, it's not like 80% of the city isn't at least paying attention to the scores.
There is still so much more I could have and should have done (the should have as more of a general statement; my piles of fabric and boxes of same just don't look good) but eh, I've done what I had the energy to do. I'm not running a grow op and I don't have an excessive amount of insects* or whatever over-running the place.
*There has been an unusually large number of beetles, by which I mean two. The kittens were very interested in the one in the bathroom but they couldn't figure out what to do about it, so it just got patted a lot.
Back to our regularly scheduled shenanigans tonight. I pressed the pockets but need to fix the little bits I missed first, and then its top-stitch city and the top edges for hanging. Next up I have a bunch of garters to prepare. And of course my summer wardrobe, which is on hold while I waffle about what to make (eyeroll) (Pick a project and do it, silly!)
Actually what I really ought to do is dye my hair. It has been over 4 months and my roots are RIDICULOUS.
