Apr. 19th, 2010 08:58 pmI suffered my first visual aura migraine today :( I've been having migraines for most of my adult life, and never had a visual aura. AT first I felt like I had looked into a bright light, but only my right eye was affected. The edges of vision of my right eye looked watery. Since it has been 8 years since my last check up, I hied over to the optometrist and scheduled a quick look.
It went away after that, but was replaced by growing pressure behind my left eye. Within half an hour, a migraine was fit to ruin my entire day. Took some tylenol, and a good thing too, cuz it really was fit to ruin my day. Pain, sensitivity, nausea, the WORKS. The optometrist had a peekyboo and said that while retinal tears have the same symptoms, my eyes looked OK (schedule an appointment! >:C) and it was a visual aura preceding a migraine.
Which I have never in my life experienced.
Not impressed.
